Losers to Tappers

Loser to Tapper is an experience-based music lecture that addresses the themes of mental health, addiction, upbringing and life management. Loser to Tapper uses scenic performance, live music and audiovisual elements as a method to anchor emotional and affective learning, and is an experience and a tool for reflection, conversation and inspiration, as well as contributing to a culture of openness, reducing stigma and increasing knowledge and understanding around difficult topics. The program can be customized and facilitate workshops, further dialogue and conversation. Loser to Tapper is suitable as a contribution to, for example, conferences, professional days, seminars, or as a standalone event in various contexts. Produced by Quiet Noise Productions, which provides complete equipment rigging.

CRAZY COOL: Three-day course in TUFTING

Have you always wanted to try the craft of tufting? Come to a course with SYKT TUFT!
The course takes place over 3 evenings/days, and you get the opportunity to work with a real tufting gun, as well as experiment with design and fibres. You will be guided and trained in the necessary techniques. You will have around 10 hours at your disposal, and instructor Johanna (@sosialantenne) will be present the whole time.

You need no prior knowledge, but patience, curiosity and interest in crafts are important. It is also a big plus if you are a creative person. Recommended age: 13 to 75 years old. Each course has limited places. (5-6 people at a time). The course is held regularly in Hillevåg, Stavanger. In 2024 we will also visit Oslo, Bergen, Kristiansand and Haugesund.

Participants do not need to acquire their own equipment, BUT must bring their own yarn. (Johanna will be happy to help with choosing the right yarn and quantity before the course starts). This is mainly because we encourage the reuse of leftover yarn, in hopes of moving in a more sustainable direction. All other necessary materials and equipment rental are included in the cost.

Colors & Freedom – Studies & Conversation

The offer is a relatively free concept that involves developing and working with your own expression in drawing materials. You work independently, but together with others.

My most important contribution is to give participants a better understanding of how to convey the experience of form and space on a flat surface, create dynamics in the composition, and how to use abstract qualities to emphasize the figurative. A kind of constructive naturalism in contrast to photorealism.

I teach fundamental principles of drawing and color, and am otherwise present as a professional advisor. My wish is to guide each participant from the position they are at in the direction that best expresses their authentic voice.

Courses can be adapted for beginners and advanced participants, businesses, schools and private individuals. Together we tailor a solution that meets their needs.

Duration: minimum 3 hours.
Maximum number of participants: 16.
Travel costs, possibly food and accommodation, are covered by the customer.

Online is also an option.

Art and cultural history lectures

As an art historian, through education and work I have held many lectures related to various topics within art and cultural history. My art historical specialization is art historiography, that is the history of art history itself - and perhaps most of all interpretation strategies. Even in today's individual-oriented society, where all art conception is based on one's own experience of the work - different ways of viewing in encounters with art can open one's eyes to a richer experience of what we see.

On the cultural history front, I have been engaged with many topics, but what is common is usually the connection to women's place in society at different times. I am also concerned with how we can learn from the past to create a better future, not least environmentally.

Ask me about a topic - and we'll see if I have something that fits.
