Adirondack Experience, The Museum on Blue Mountain Lake (ADKX) in the USA offers in 2027 four one-month residency stays for artists, distributed across June, July, August and September. The artist shall work on their own artistic project in the museum's public areas at least three days a week, inspired by nature and the museum's collections, with a minimum of six hours of presence per day where the public can meet the artist and observe the creative process.

In addition, the artist shall spend two days a week in the museum's Art Lab (a workshop/makerspace), where they work on their own creations and lead short, participatory activities for visitors. A budget of USD 250 has been set aside for materials for these Art Lab activities. Artists also have the opportunity to collaborate with the museum's curatorial staff to study and document objects in the collection.

The museum is located in a very rural area with no public transport nearby, but weekly shuttle service to shops and pharmacies is provided. The artist receives a stipend of USD 5,000 for the residency period, a travel allowance of USD 500, as well as free accommodation on site. The artist must cover their own materials for the artwork (outside of Art Lab).
