ArteSumapaz offers a self-managed artist residence (a work stay for artists) on a large property with a natural park in Colombia. You get access to several types of studio – for painting, 3D work, movement, music and writing – and can participate in weekly critique collections where artists discuss each other’s work.

The stay lasts from one to three months, starting on 1 December 2026. Guests stay in the on-site private room, bathroom with hot water, desk and storage space, and receive three vegetarian meals a day. The only mandatory is a weekly meeting for all residents.

This is not a paid residence with scholarship – you pay yourself for your stay. The price is 945 USD per month for rooms in the rear wing, and 1045 USD per month for rooms in the front wing. Applications are submitted via a web form, and the deadline is 7 November 2026.

• Who can apply: Visual artists, musicians, writers, architects, ceramicists, performing artists and other creative people. The scheme is open internationally, without any requirement for residency or citizenship, and thus also for applicants residing in Norway.
