Keramikkünstlerhaus Neumünster in Germany announces two residency programs for 2027. One is called Ceramic Artist Exchange – Tandem, where two artists from different generations – a younger and a more established artist – share studio and residence for seven weeks and work on separate projects, but with a focus on dialogue and exchange of experience. The second, new program is called °Ceramic Artist Duo, and is for artist couples who are already working together. They develop a joint project over seven weeks and conclude with a joint public exhibition.

Both programs are open to artists of all ages, regardless of residence, as long as your work is mainly about ceramics (burnt clay and ceramic materials). You must be able to communicate in English, as it is the working language during your stay. You get free access to the studio, residence (two rooms, kitchen and bathroom shared with your partner), equipment such as ovens and turntable, as well as basic materials. In addition, each artist receives a lump sum of 700 euros as a contribution to the cost of living.

The stay ends with a five-day public exhibition where you can sell your works. You must also give one work to the house collection, which appears in an annual exhibition the following year. The application is sent in English or German via Google Drive, with application form, project description, photos of previous works and CV. The jury’s response comes at the end of January.
