BRAZZA Art Residency is located in Châteauneuf-sur-Charente in the south-west of France, between the cities of Cognac and Angoulême. The residence is run by the artist NGO "Les rencontres de Brazza" and welcomes painters, writers, dancers, visual artists and photographers. The residence has space for collectives (groups) who can live together in two apartments with their own studios and rooms.

The stay lasts one or two weeks. Guests have access to a 30 square metre mezzanine studio, as well as a professional darkroom and photo studio with four magnifiers. The residence also collaborates with a literary organization in the city, which provides access to books and conversations about French literature.

There are no special requirements or expectations for what to produce during your stay – this is a research residence without a requirement for finished work. The residence covers two meals a week, but you will have to pay a contribution to joint expenses. The cost varies by group size: from 385 euros per week for one person, up to 1000 euros per week for a group of five people.
