Fondation Art Explora collaborates with Cité internationale des arts in Paris on an annual residency program that accepts around 20 artists and researchers from around the world. The program provides the opportunity to develop research and art projects in Paris, in connection with the French art field, with a focus on contemporary issues such as art and science, social, political and ecological themes.

There are two tracks: the SOLO program for individual artists (3 or 6 months) and the COLLECTIF program for artist collectives or an artist together with a curator/researcher (3 months). Applicants must have at least five years of professional experience and international presentation of their work. Residents receive a furnished studio-residence of approximately 50 sqm, a living stipend of 1000 euros per month, a production stipend of 3000 euros, as well as covered travel to and from Paris.

Through the residency, a mentorship program with key figures from the art world is also offered, as well as the opportunity to participate in open studio days and events that make the projects accessible to the public. Applications are assessed by an international jury consisting of recognized curators and museum directors.
