Schaufler Lab@TU Dresden, a collaborative project between TU Dresden University of Technology and Schaufler Foundation, is advertising a six-month Artist-in-Residence position starting in April 2027. The residency is affiliated with the university's Office for Academic Heritage, Scientific and Art Collections (Kustodie) and is aimed at internationally active artists or artist groups working in media art, conceptual art, performance and similar fields.

The artists will work with the central theme 'Energy Cultures in Transition' in the third funding phase of Schaufler Lab, and will have the opportunity to collaborate with a research network affiliated with Schaufler Kolleg@TU Dresden. The residency provides access to resources from one of Germany's leading elite universities in humanities, natural sciences and engineering for artistic and creative production.

The residency includes assistance in establishing contact with researchers at TUD, a monthly stipend of 3000 EUR net for six months, studio space on campus, a separate exhibition at the university's gallery in autumn 2027, production support of up to 10,000 EUR for the exhibition, as well as assistance in finding accommodation.
