Fondation François Schneider announces the 16th edition of the Talents Contemporains competition. The theme is water. The competition started in 2011 and builds up a collection of works of art about water, with artists from both recognized art schools and self-taught backgrounds.

You can search with paintings, drawings, sculptures, textiles, installations, photo or video. The work must be unique, except for the photo and video which can be found in several copies (then the prize is lower). If you are working with sculpture or installation, you can apply either with a finished work or with a project proposal that has not yet been made. If you apply with a project, you can get up to EUR 50,000 in production support (money to create the work).

The winners receive 15,000 EUR (or 8,000 EUR for photo/video in multiple copies) for the foundation to purchase their work. In addition, the work will be displayed in a group exhibition at the art center in Wattwiller in winter 2028.
