Aqtushetii invites you to a one-month winter residence in Omalo, in the Tusheti mountain region of Georgia. The residence is isolated in winter, giving you peace and time to work concentrated on your own artistic project.

You can use your time to further develop a project you already have, start something new, do research, or simply explore your practice in new surroundings. The residency is open to artists and creatives from different disciplines, and does not require any academic background. You will have access to shared workshops for painting, ceramics, silver forging, photography (darkrooms) and wood and metal work.

The residence costs 2500 euros in total. The price covers helicopter transport between Telavi and Omalo, accommodation, three meals a day, materials and access to workshops. You send a motivation letter, a brief description of what you want to work with, and a small portfolio to the e-mail address in the call. Applications are processed on an ongoing basis, but the deadline for applications is 31 October 2026.
