Est-Nord-Est will invite professional visual artists from Québec, Canada and internationally for an eight-week residency focused on artistic research and experimentation. Four artists are welcomed per season, and they receive access to a dedicated studio/workshop, technical equipment and opportunities for public presentation of their work.

The Summer Residency 2027 prioritizes artists of African descent, but is open to applicants whose practice resonates with the themes of osmosis, Black experience and relationship to the living world. Collectives can also apply, and the scheme is open to applicants internationally, not only from Canada.

Participants receive an honorarium of CAD 2,080, in addition to accommodation in a studio, access to specialized equipment and documentation resources, as well as technical and logistical support. A selected community workshop proposal is rewarded with an additional honorarium of CAD 300.
