Gullkistan Center for Creativity offers artist residencies in Iceland, with available places in November and December 2026. The minimum stay is one month, and the length can sometimes be negotiated further. The place aims to provide quiet and space for concentrated work on one's own creative projects, with opportunities for hiking, swimming and nature experiences in the surrounding area.

The residency has single and double rooms in two buildings, both with kitchen, bathroom and living room, as well as shared laundry facilities and wifi. Studio/work rooms are shared, and all rooms have desks. There are no specific expectations or obligations placed on the artist during the stay.

The stay is self-financed: single room costs 1,050 euros, double room for one person 1,250 euros, and double room shared between two people 1,600 euros per person for a minimum one-month stay. Applications are sent via Gullkistan's own website.
